After spending a quick few days with the grandkids in CA, I’ve come to realize that simplicity is its own reward. Son-in-law had to be gone for a few days on business and suggested that would be a good time for me to visit (?) and have a girl’s weekend. Awesome! The kids enjoy the simple pleasure of playing in the backyard, coloring and old black & white cartoons! We had a great time.
Daughter and I got a few quiet moments after all 3 young ones were in bed so we began to check a few things off the list. Create some labels for my storage, pin some good ideas for travel, bake for the freezer and make a dining room curtain. We kept all things SIMPLE. Chalkboard paper for the labels, camping for the travel, one dish wonders for the freezer and a burlap roman shade for the dining room.
Sister 1 called at some point and I was reminded that I had taken a “vacation” last month during our family wedding so I was supposed to be working on something. Hmmmm… Simple came to mind…
So we quick grabbed some PCs from Sister’s web store and started a SIMPLE set of gift towels for the next wedding shower.
Then I moved on to the “soon-to-be-posted” Tulip Trio stained glass wall art from the hallway. Keep checking up on us…er, I mean, checking in with us for the latest and greatest project taken from the Mother’s Medallion collection.
Keepin’ it Simple
